Welcome

Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Welcome to the New Jersey Conference (NJC) Women in Ministry (WIM) website. My name is Reverend Margaret A. Bailey, NJC WIM Coordinator of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. I am so glad you stopped by for a visit with us.

NJC WIM’s purpose is to provide a positive platform for sisterhood and theological reflection. Our goal is three-fold; (1) inform others of our ministry work (2) enlighten and encourage our sisters on their spiritual journey and (3) connect and remain connected to each other.

Over the years, we have discovered that our callings and ministries are beyond the traditional pulpit and church setting; which sometimes do not get the attention they deserve. Our desire is to give equal place to those ministries that are not readily noticed or given voice to as ministry. We have found that women in ministry have answered the call to the invisible pulpits in prisons, college campuses, hospitals and mental health institutions.

It is hoped that through this website we can celebrate both traditional and non-traditional ministry of our sisterhood in the church and communities we serve. “Our Lord said, “therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20 NIV. We have answered that call to go; and the LORD has planted us in many diverse vineyards for His glory.

Please visit as often as you like, sharing your ideas and interests. Join us today in the spirit of Jarena Lee!

Yours in Christ,
Reverend Margaret
